Carsons Of High Point
We use only the finest of materials for frame construction. We use 4/4 and 5/4 kiln-dried hardwoods consisting of a mixture of maple, oak, beech, poplar, and plywood for the frames. All frames are assembled using double dowels, wood glue and screwed to ensure the strongest bonding possible. Every stress joint is braced by corner blocks, glue blocks, and joint breakers to ensure the strongest possible frames on the market. We start with a solid foundation.

We use a HR, or High Resiliency, 1.8 minimum density foam in the seat cushions and 1.5 density in the backs.. The arms, seat, deck, and back rails are all wrapped in foam to ensure comfort and style. All seat cushions are bonded with a layer of polyester fiber for comfort and durability. The attached sofa backs and throw pillows are manufactured with blown polyester fiber stored in a ticking. All of our hospitality is manufactured to meet the requirements of California Technical Bulletin #117. Cal 133 and the City of Boston fire codes are available upon request.

8 gauge sinuous wire seat springs are driven in to the frame or attached with metal clips to ensure silent motion. Two rows of steel tie wires are attached to each spring to ensure uniformity in seating comfort. 11 gauge springs are used in the backs. The suspension systems are then covered in a woven polypropylene to create a smooth surface.

Heavy-duty contract mechanisms by Leggett and Platt are standard. Their manufacturer warrants them for 3 years. Each mechanism features tubular cross members of heavy gauge steel, located for sleeping comfort and stability. A locking TV headrest is standard. The standard mattresses are 5 inch innerspring, 72" long with a padded cover. The springs are 13.5 gauge, heat tempered, high carbon steel wire Bonnell Coil. Coil counts: Queen:345, Full:299, and Twin:165. Our standard finishing process on all wood exposed items requires six steps of stain, sealer, hand sanding, sealer, hand sanding and lacquer. This allows for a beautiful build on the wood without taking away from its natural beauty. Our premium finishes are similar but with many extra steps. We are happy to match any finishes
